Unspoken Truth
Unspoken truth - This piece was created during a tender, pivotal moment in my clients life — a period of deep emotional challenge, rawness, and the need to be seen beyond the surface.
She asked me to create something that captured that complexity. Not just a portrait, but a visual memory of how she felt — emotionally exposed, yet still carrying strength. Her pose may look relaxed or composed, but underneath was grief, confusion, and the need for space to feel it all.
The writing across her eyes is the Serenity Prayer — a prayer she also carries as a tattoo — something that grounds her in moments of overwhelm. We wanted that to become part of the piece, too: a personal anchor amidst the chaos.
The soft tones and blurred edges reflect the messiness of healing, and how pain and beauty often coexist. This is a portrait not of perfection, but of resilience — a reminder to her (and all of us) of how powerful and whole we are, even when we feel broken.
